Oracle of Consciousness

#78 - Going on Hoping

Going on hoping, is akin to wishful thinking.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with having dreams, aspirations and thinking about them, for without imagination, how could we ever create a better life for ourselves and others?

Going on hoping about a situation, condition, or place that we might find ourselves in, that we want it to be a different way, or don't want to experience it, is indeed folly!

So we begin wishfully thinking:

"Oh, I wish it wasn't this way"

"I wish it wasn't that complicated"

"I really wish I wasn't here"

"I wish I wasn't in this job"

"This relationship sucks!"

"I wish I didn't behave this way".

Going on hoping something will somehow miraculously change for the better, without any input from us!

I think deep down we know this is not going to happen!

Once again, don't get me wrong, hope is a very good thing.

We need hope that we can create a better future for ourselves and others.

But going on hoping is in alignment with what Albert Einstein said about insanity.

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again, hoping for a different result".

Going on hoping and expecting a different result and of course, it's not going to change without our input.

We may continue to repeat our destructive behaviour, time and time again, thinking "Well just this once again", knowing that it's not healthy and it's causing us harm, or causing other people harm and yet we keep doing it!

What is the missing ingredient?

Action!

Right now, at this juncture of our transition, the transformation of conscious evolution, those with a modicum of consciousness, have skills and aptitude to bring about change, are being called upon to take action.

That action can be as simple as signing a petition, right up to leading a parade calling for our civil rights.

In fact any constructive action that causes no harm, is non-violent and leads to the improvement of conditions, the betterment of our human family and our world as a whole, will be necessary to bring about the much-needed changes.

Thank you Dr Martin Luther King Jnr for showing us the way.

So here we are, we cannot sit on our hands doing nothing.

We can't just go on hoping things will change.

Because they won't without our action!

You see we are all creators, co-creating this world, starting with our thoughts!

Which means we need to create something that will bring about positive, life-enhancing changes, whatever they are.

Each one of us has something to offer, no matter how small we may think it is.

We all have a skill set, passion, or drive that we can share and contribute.

The greatest changes we can bring to this world is a change within; raising our own consciousness, our awareness, and remedying that which is holding us back, through direct, inner self-enquiry.

Raising our vibrational frequency, becoming a better person, more heart-centred, being kinder and more compassionate would really be a great start to bringing about the much-needed changes.

This is a doingness to consciously commit to and becoming more aware, more loving.

There could be no greater action that any of us could take to make a start.

Our own being flooded with consciousness.

Our hearts outpouring with love, so much so that they're brimming over to generously give away and receive.

Our days are filled with random acts of kindness.

There is so much that we can do to contribute.

Find something that resonate deeply within, that lights your fire within, then stride confidently forward.

Nothing happens without commitment, so let's commit to doing something that will forward the progress of our human. family.
